English Study Program, Teachers Training and Education Faculty, Islamic University of Indragiri held "The 1st Indragiri English Festival". It is held in Tembilahan, 24-26 February 2020. There are some competitions for Junior High School. They are, story telling competition, speech, written test, and TOEFL. The students of SMP Negeri 1 Tembilahan joined these competitions and got some medals.
1. Shadiq Muhana Adhandro as the 1st winner of speech contest. He delivered a speech entitled "Is Learning Foreign Language Important?".
2. Nayla Nurfaiza as the runner up of story telling competition. She performed a story about "The Legend of Batang Tuaka".
We hope, for the next competitions the students of SMP Negeri 1 Tembilahan will do their best and get more achievements.
